Buenos Aires, March 14 (NA) – The minimum pension will rise to 380,286 pesos in April, after the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) confirmed that February inflation reached 2.9%. In this way, the social security agency determined the update of benefits according to the current mobility scheme, which establishes monthly adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index with a two-month lag. The system, established by Decree 274/2024, replaced the old quarterly scheme to mitigate the impact of inflation on pension incomes. It is expected that, as is usual, the agency will publish in the coming days the schedule organized by the end of the ID number, which will begin to be distributed in the second week of April for minimum benefits.
